The perfect base for activities in and around Wernigerode in the Harz Mountains. We would be delighted to help plan your leisure time. All necessary local and regional maps are available at our reception desk.
Stroll through the Old Town and enjoy the charm of the half-timbered houses and the atmosphere in the small cafes and boutiques.
Visit Schloß Wernigerode® with its interesting museum, and experience the aura of life as a member of Europe's upper nobility. The Bimmelbahn (small train) to the castle departs directly in front of our hotel.
Many additional sports, cultural and entertainment events take place in the town. There is sure to be something to suit your taste.
The Harz region is always worth a visit
Sport and nature fanatics always get their money's worth, because the Harz region offers pure, unspoiled nature.
Rambling, Nordic-walking, cross-country skiing and mountain biking are only some examples of the many options available.
The Harz National Park is a great place to enjoy yourself in summer and in winter.
Scale up the Brocken, the highest mountain in northern Germany, either on foot, by mountain bike or in the comfort of the Harz narrow-gauge railway. This nostalgic train departs a mere 10 minutes walking distance from our hotel, and is an experience for young and old alike.
We also offer guided Nordic walking tours to the Brocken. For example: ride up on the narrow-gauge railway and walk down with your Nordic walking sticks.
